The colors used in this artwork are many, however there is a different mood distinction for both of the pictures. This can be clearly seen when the first picture has darker shades of browns blacks yellows and a mixture of all these warm colors create a realistic kind of mood. The highlight in the hair and the tint of the hair make it seem silky and create this kind of soft texture as well as her face. This is contrary to the wardrobe she has that seems to be a bit more ruff due the the changes of hue which creates the allusion of wrinkles. Adding to that the picture on the right is much brighter with lighter colors and with more purples and blues for her wardrobe and only the brown for her hair. This mixture of cool colors and the tint it gives off has a more angelic effect to the picture. The mood does change and the character seems to be a different one as a whole. But most conclusive is for me the use of not only analogous colors but a mixture of the whole color wheel. You can identify all the colors of the color wheel in both of these images. These is no argument that this artist knows how to use these paintings as an advantage to give the effect of realism but with different moods for both.
